Helpline for ration card project operational

The government has made functional a toll-free helpline 14445 for any information or grievance regarding “One nation, one ration card”.

“The number is operational now and people can use this service,” said Food and Civil Supplies Director Abid Hussain. For better implementation and monitoring of the ambitious project and PDS operations, the Department of Telecommunications had asked all states and UTs to set up the helpline number.

Under ‘one nation one ration card’, people could avail PDS facilities anywhere in the country. The helpline number will be utilised for registration of migrant beneficiaries, awareness generation and information dissemination, etc.
