High Court to resume working with some curbs

The state high court today decided to resume its functioning from Monday with some restrictions till further orders.

As per the latest notification issued by Registrar General, Virender Singh, two division benches will work from the court rooms and one division bench will work through e-mode/video conference. Similarly, four single benches will work from court rooms and four through video conference.

Earlier, the High Court was working through e-mode/ video conference and was taking up only urgent matters but now it would function in a regular mode with some restrictions.

The court also allowed physical filing of new cases with certain restrictions. No person other than lawyers and court staff are permitted to enter the court premises unless directed by the court.

All class-I and class-II officers will attend the court daily and others will attend the office as per roaster prepared in such a manner that 30 per cent of the employees will attend the office every day and the remaining will work from home.

Subordinate courts

The High Court on Friday decided to resume the functioning of subordinate courts across the state for urgent matters as well as those criminal and civil issues, which are ready for hearing, from Monday.
