Shimla, July 17

Former Congress state president Kaul Singh Thakur today hit out at Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, saying that he was misleading people by making announcements worth crores despite poor financial health of HP.

Addressing a press conference here today, he said the CM was announcing schemes and projects without making any budgetary provision. “It is obvious that the CM is doing so only to get votes. These announcements will remain only on paper as there is no money to fulfil these,” he said.

He accused the CM of behaving in an irresponsible manner. “The CM must reveal the budgetary provision before making these announcements,” he said.

He also accused the Jai Ram regime of being insensitive to the problems of apple growers, forcing them to take to the roads to lodge their protest.
