Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the Sports Authority of India’s ground on Friday morning during his routine walk and spent time interacting with young sportspersons practicing there.

The children, who were undergoing training in various sports disciplines, shared details about their routines, achievements and future goals with the CM.

Sukhu encouraged them to pursue sports with dedication and discipline, emphasising that consistent practice and strong determination are essential for excelling at national and international levels. He also spoke with the coaches to understand the training facilities being provided to young athletes at the ground.

In a gesture that thrilled the children, the CM joined them for a brief badminton session, drawing cheers from all sides. Players from taekwondo and other sports disciplines also gathered to interact with him and later posed for photographs. Many young athletes expressed excitement over meeting the CM and appreciated his interest in their activities.

Sukhu reiterated that the state government is committed to strengthening sports infrastructure and creating more opportunities for emerging talent. His visit created an atmosphere of enthusiasm, leaving the young players motivated and inspired.
