Assembly Deputy Speaker Vinay Kumar, during his tour of Sirmaur district on Thursday, inspected the construction of the Community Health Centre (CHC) building at Nohradhar, which is coming up at a cost of nearly Rs 6 crore. He directed officials to speed up the pace of work so that the facility could be inaugurated at the earliest.

Vinay Kumar said once completed, the CHC will not only benefit the residents of Nohradhar but also hundreds of people from adjoining panchayats, who will gain access to better healthcare. He added that the centre will be equipped with modern medical instruments and adequate infrastructure to meet the healthcare needs of the region.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening medical services across Himachal Pradesh, he said 200 posts of doctors and 400 posts of nursing staff will soon be filled, ensuring deployment even in far-flung areas of the state.

During his visit, the Deputy Speaker also reached Chauras village to meet the family of Sheela Devi, who lost her life recently after her house was buried in a landslide. He assured the bereaved family that all possible assistance would be extended by the government.

Vinay Kumar further interacted with people at Nohradhar, Chauras, Ghanduri, Chadna, Sail and Haripurdhar, listening to their concerns. He directed officials to expedite the opening of the Badol-Kuna road, ensure drinking water supply in Dayudi Khadah and facilitate gift deed documentation for land in Dharadiya village under Gram Panchayat Tikri Dakasna so that road construction could be initiated. Many issues raised by the people were resolved on the spot.
