Himachal education board announces exam dates for classes 10, 12

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) on Wednesday released the annual examination schedule for classes X and XII (Regular and Open School) for the 2025–26 academic session.

The board chairman, Rajesh Sharma, informed that both practical and theory examinations will be conducted between February and April, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Board today, the practical exams for classes X and XII (Regular and Open School) will be held from February 20 to February 28, 2026.

The theory examinations for Class X will take place from March 3 to March 28, 2026, while Class XII exams will be conducted from March 3 to April 1, 2026. All theory papers will be held in the morning session from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm, Sharma said.

The Board has also issued the evaluation schedule. The collection of answer books from examination centres will begin on March 12, 2026, followed by opening and receiving of packets on March 17. The spot evaluation will commence on April 2 and conclude on April 22, 2026.

The processing of results is scheduled for April 23, and the Board aims to declare the annual results on April 30, 2026.
