Education Minister Rohit Thakur inaugurated a Panchayat Bhawan, constructed at a cost of Rs 35.5 lakh, in Ramnagar gram panchayat. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said it would bring more efficiency in the working of the Panchayati Raj institutions and provide convenience to the employees. He also inspected the construction work of the Primary Health Centre, Ramnagar, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2.20 crore.
The minister said the Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai Assembly constituency had seen unprecedented infrastructure development over the past three years, with road construction and repair projects worth Rs 500 crore underway. “Heavy investment is being made in projects such as electricity, drinking water, construction, education and health,” he said. “The construction of this health centre will be completed shortly and will be dedicated to the public, allowing local residents to benefit from improved healthcare services,” he said.
Thakur said all-round development had taken place in the state in three years of the Congress government, especially in the Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai constituency. “A total of Rs 300 crore has been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana for the constituency. In the tenure of the previous BJP government, not a single road was approved for the Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai constituency,” he alleged.
