Himachal Government orders major reshuffle in Police Department

Shimla, August 22
The Himachal Pradesh Government on Saturday ordered a major reshuffle in the Police Department, shifting 22 IPS officers, including two ADGPs and SPs of six districts.
Ashok Tiwari, ADGP, CID, and N Venugopal, ADGP, Law and Order (with an additional charge of Armed Police and Training), have swapped places while Dinesh Kumar Yadav has been posted as IG (Law and order) on return from leave.
Sumedha Dwivedi on return from leave has been posted as DIG (Northern Range) at Dharamsala, replacing Santosh Patial who has been posted as DIG, Cyber Crime, with an additional charge of DIG Economic Offences, read the official order.
Arul Kumar, SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, has been posted as SP, Chamba, in place of Monika Bhutungur, who has been posted as AIG, Police Headquarters.
Mohit Chawala, ADC to Governor, would be the new SP, Shimla. He replaces Omapati Jamwal, who has been shifted as SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau and Special Investigation Unit, Shimla.
Shalini Agnihotri, SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau and Special Investigation Unit, would replace Gurdev Sharma as SP, Mandi, who has been posted as SP, Crime.
SP, Hamirpur, Arjit Sen and SP, Una, Dr Karthikeyan Gokulachandren have changed place while Manav Verma, SDPO, Nalagarh, would be the new SP of Lahaul and Spiti.
Sakshi Verma, Commandant First IRB, Bangrah (Una), has been shifted as Commandant Fourth IRB, Jungelberi (Hamirpur), while Raman Kumar, SP (Crime), would be the ADC to Governor.
Rahul Nath, AIG, Police Headquarters, has been posted as SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (Central Range), Mandi.
