Himachal High Court cancels vacation in summer zone civil courts

Shimla, June 6

The HP High Court has cancelled the annual vacation of civil courts in the summer zone comprising Una and Hamirpur districts and Nalagarh in Solan district, and civil courts of Nurpur, Indora and Dehra in Kangra district and Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district, commencing from June 15 to July 10.

As per the notification issued by the Registrar General, “To partially make up for the loss of court work, the High Court has ordered that the annual vacation of the civil courts in summer zone stand cancelled. The courts will function with continuation of present arrangement of hearing of cases.”

Presently, the subordinate civil courts are hearing only urgent matters through video conference.
