Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited launches central system to process payments
Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) has introduced a time-bound centralised system for salary and related payments. This system, inaugurated by HPSEBL Chairman Sanjay Gupta, has been launched to increase efficiency, transparency and self-reliance in the board's financial operations.
Gupta congratulated Director (Personnel and Finance) Anurag Chander Sharma and his team on the launch of the system yesterday. He said that the facility would increase the overall efficiency and officers and employees would get more time for revenue collection and maintenance work related to power supply. The system would reduce the workload of 121 Drawing and Disbursing Officers, allowing them to focus on revenue collection and maintenance work. “The system will be an important step in making the board financially self-reliant,” he added.
With the adoption of this system, the processing of all payments related to salary, allowances, taxes etc, of the employees and the pensioners would be done at the central level at the headquarters itself. The system would eliminate problems related to payments faced by employees, officers, pensioners and other payees of the board. The employees and the pensioners could access their payment information and salary slips through a centralised portal and the system would reduce the likelihood of errors and delays in payment processing.
