Himachal Pradesh University has reconstituted its Departmental Litigation Monitoring Committee to oversee pending court cases and manage future litigation, in line with the HP State Litigation Policy.

The university issued an official notification regarding the reconstitution here on Thursday.

According to the notification, Prof Sanjay Sindhu, Chairman of the Department of Laws, has been appointed as the Chairman of the committee. Prof Shiv Dogra, from the Department of Laws and Director of the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), will serve as a member, while Suresh Kumar Verma, Superintendent in the office of the Registrar, has been designated as the member/secretary of the committee.

The committee has been tasked with ensuring the timely disposal of legal matters, by monitoring the filing of replies and the implementation of court orders within specified deadlines. The move aims to enhance legal compliance and streamline litigation procedures within the university system.
