The Himachal Pradesh University has rescheduled Bachelor of Education (BEd) exams to be held March to avoid a clash with the Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Allied Services (Main) examinations being conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC).
As per the fresh schedule issued by the university, the BEd exams will now take place from March 10 to March 22. Earlier, the exams for first and second semesters for regular colleges and first and second year of ICDEOL students were to commence from March 7.
The university has issued a notification regarding the updated schedule of the BEd examinations.
The Allied Service (Main) exams are being held from March 7 to 9 to fill 24 vacancies under the state’s Subordinate Allied Services. The preliminary exam was held on September 8.
Shyam Lal Kaushal, Controller of Examinations, Himachal Pradesh University, said the dates of the BEd exams were changed owing to clash with the Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Allied Services Examinations (Mains) exams, which will also be held in March.
“Many students across the state are also appearing in the Allied Services exams and had also requested the university to postpone the exams to avoid the clash,” he said.
