Himachal Shree awards given by Himotkarsh

Una, February 18

Himotkarsh Parishad, a voluntary organisation, today held its 50th annual function at the Government college, Kotla Khurd, near Una. Eminent personalities of the region were honoured at the event.

Additional Chief Secretary and State Pollution Control Board Chairman Onkar Nath Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, while former Vice-Chancellor of Baba Farid University, Raj Bahadur presided over the function. Former Una MLA Satpal Singh Raizada was the guest of honour.

Those honoured with the ‘Himotkarsh National Integration Award’ during the function included National Institute of Ayurveda vice-chancellor Dr Sanjeev Sharma, Brig. Jagir Singh Kanwar (Retd.), Divya Himachal Newspaper Group resident editor Sanjay Awasthi, Rotary Eye Foundation, Palampur, and Chamba Athlete Seema — who won the national gold in the 10,000 metres race in November, 2023. State Director of Industries Rakesh Prajapati, ‘Zinda Jeev Besahara’ charitable trust, Nangal, were honoured with ‘Himotkarsh Himachal Shree’ awards.
