At the market, the Chief Minister spoke with the daughter of a vegetable vendor and asked about her business. Notably, it was after meeting the same girl last year that he had announced a loan waiver scheme for small shopkeepers in the state Budget.
Sukhu also interacted with a young girl sitting in the rain shelter at Kachari Chowk waiting for the bus, asking about her well-being and exchanged brief conversations with several passersby.
His informal interactions in the City Centre area drew attention from locals, who appreciated the Chief Minister’s approachable style.
