Hoarding blocks weep holes
A hoarding affixed on a retaining wall on the Parwanoo-Solan highway has blocked the weep holes which are an outlet for water to seep through. This callousness can prove dear to the wall which can suffer damage during rains. It is surprising why such a spot was chosen to affix a hoarding highlighting a health scheme of the state government. Weep holes are specially designed in a retaining wall to enable the water to seep through and it is a key measure to contain damage to a wall along a road. There should be designated places to affix hoardings. Placing hoardings at such places points to unmindful approach of the authorities concerned. These should be immediately removed.

Repair broken benches
Wooden benches placed along the road leading to Lakkar Bazaar from the Ridge are broken. A large number of people, both locals and tourists, like to sit in the sun on benches on the Ridge. It is high time that the Municipal Corporation authorities repair the benches for the convenience of public. Moreover, the benches are an eyesore at a time when efforts are on to beautify the Mall and the Ridge.

Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
