An unoccupied house in the Krishna Nagar locality of Shimla was completely gutted in a fire on Saturday evening, officials reported. Fortunately, no loss of life occurred as the house was old and uninhabited.

The incident took place around 6 pm when flames engulfed the house, which belonged to a businessman from Lower Bazaar. The fire spread rapidly, consuming the entire structure.

Local residents noticed the fire and immediately alerted the fire department. Fire tenders were dispatched promptly and managed to douse the flames, preventing the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, though initial reports suggest that the house’s dilapidated condition may have contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.
