HP power board employees’ union poll on Oct 16

The elections for the state executive committee of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Employees’ Union will be held on October 16. A day before the polls, a conference of the union will be held in Shimla, in which thousands of employees are expected to participate.

It was decided in the meeting of the union held here on Monday under the chairmanship of president Kameshwar Datt Sharma. The meeting discussed various issues related to the electricity board and employees, including the upcoming conference and elections.

The union has called upon all units to conduct their unit conferences and prepare for the state conference. The union has demanded immediate initiation of recruitment process to fill vacancies in the electricity board.
