Promote undergraduate students: NSUI
The Himachal unit of the NSUI has urged the state government to promote the students of undergraduate courses by holding the examinations, the way others states such as Maharashtra, Haryana and Chhattisgarh had done. The NSUI workers staged a demonstration in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, and pressed for the withdrawal of 18 per cent GST on fees. Rubal Thakur and Prateek Sharma, secretary, state NSUI, said students were already stressed due to Covid-19 and the imposition of 18 per cent GST would burden them unnecessarily.
