HPCA to hold trials for spin, fast bowlers from March 15
Dharamsala, February 27
The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) will conduct trials for spin and fast bowlers in the state from March 15. In a press note issued here today, HPCA spokesperson Avinash Parmar said that at present the HPCA was running 53 sub-centres and nine district cricket academies where around 1,800 men and women players were being trained.
Parmar said, “As part of our continuous effort to tap talent from every nook and corner of Himachal, we have decided to conduct a talent-hunt programme for fast and spin bowlers. Trials will be held at various places under the supervision of cricketing experts of eminence to be appointed by the HPCA. Talented players thus selected will be nurtured to help them become cricketers of tomorrow.”
The trails would be held from March 15 to 21 across the state. The players under the age of 20 years could take part in event, the press note said.
