HPNLU kicks off ‘Drona 5.0’ with spirit and sportsmanship
Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, inaugurated its much-anticipated annual intra-sports fest, Drona 5.0, on Saturday with great enthusiasm and energy. The event was graced by Prof (Dr) Priti Saxena, Vice-Chancellor of HPNLU, who attended as the chief guest.
Over 300 student-athletes are set to compete in a wide range of sporting events, including futsal, badminton, volleyball, cricket, chess, eSports and several other indoor and outdoor games.
The opening ceremony began with a warm welcome for the Vice-Chancellor, followed by an inspiring address by Dr Praveen, chairperson of the Sports Committee. He emphasised the vital role of sports in building leadership, discipline and resilience among students.
The official inauguration of Drona 5.0 was conducted by Prof (Dr) Saxena, who praised the enthusiasm and determination of the participants. In her speech, she underscored the importance of true sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication.
