The Joint Front of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEBL) Employees and Engineers have written to HPSEBL Chairman Sanjay Gupta that the rationalisation proposal has caused uncertainty among the staff and is hampering the efficiency of the organisation.
The front further wrote that the board management was working on a proposal to abolish 300 posts in the generation wing in the first phase of the rationalisation. “A similar exercise is underway in other wings of the HPSEBL and thousands of promotional posts are proposed to be abolished and the incumbent officials on these posts are proposed to be placed in surplus pool or to be shifted to other locations in the state,” the front wrote.
The front urged the chairman to intervene in the matter and hold this rationalisation proposal as it required detailed study in consultation with the representatives of its employees.
