Himachal Pradesh University announces counselling schedule

The schedule for counselling/interview for admission to various campus-based courses of Himachal Pradesh University for the academic session 2022-23 has been announced. The counselling/interview will be held from August 2-12. Counselling for MSc (botany, zoology, biotech, microbiology, environmental science, chemistry, mathematics, physics) will be held on August 2. For MCom, MA (english, geography, hindi, history, pol science, public admninistration, economics, performing arts, rural development, psychology, social work, sociology, physical education, sanskrit, yoga and visual arts) and MPEd, the counselling will be held August 3. The counselling for merit based courses and MCA, MTTM, MBA (RD) will be held on August 4. The last date for admission on vacant/vacated seat (if any) is August 12.

Student brings laurels to Hamirpur

Arudhi Singh of DAV school, Hamirpur, has bagged the first position in zonal Olympiad, in which students from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh participated. The competition was organised by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Congratulating Arudhi on her achievement, the school Principal, Vishvash Sharma, said Arudhi had also grabbed the second position in Class 12 exam by securing 96.4 per cent marks.

St Bede’s NCC cadets shine

NCC cadets of St Bede’s College, Shimla, put up a good performance during a combined annual training camp organised by 7HP (I) Coy NCC, Shimla, at Karsog, Mandi district. The camp was divided into two phases — first phase was from July 1 to July 10 and second phase was from July 12 to July 21. Cadets of the college won the first position in group dance, second positions in group singing and line area competition during the first phase. In the second phase, they secured first position in drill and group singing. Besides, they attained the top position in group dance, firing, and volleyball. The college Principal, Molly Abraham, congratulated the cadets.
