The ABVP alleged that the Himachal Pradesh University had stooped down to the level of dictatorship to suppress students’ voice. Referring to Saturday’s incident, the student leaders said the VC did not allow more than five students to enter his office, they decided to talk to him outside his office. They further alleged that the VC did not come out of his car and even as they raised slogans peacefully, the university administration used the police force in which some students sustained injuries. The ABVP leaders said the university must conduct entrance tests, and remove irregularities in paper-checking.

Nauni varsity admission roaster

Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, has adopted the admission roaster for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes, wherein fresh opportunity has been given to candidates to apply for admission under the new categories for the academic session 2020-21. An opportunity has also been given to the existing applicants to be considered under any category as per the roaster for this session. For undergraduate programmes, fresh applications can be made in these categories: EWS, UR Ex-Serviceman, SC Ex-Serviceman, ST Ex-Serviceman and OBC Ex-Serviceman. For MSc, MBA, MBA (agribusiness) and PhD programmes, fresh applications can be made in the categories: EWS, UR Ex-Serviceman/ Ward of Ex-Serviceman, UR IRDP, SC Ex-Serviceman/ Ward of Ex-Serviceman, SC IRDP, ST- Ex-Serviceman/Ward of Ex-Serviceman, ST IRDP, OBC, OBC- Ex-Serviceman/Ward of Ex-Serviceman, OBC IRDP and OBC PH. The last date to send documents to the university through email is October 24.

Minerva school students ace NEET

As many as 16 students from Minerva Senior Secondary School, Ghumarwin, have scored more than 500 marks in NEET-2020. Earlier, four students from the school had cleared JEE-Advanced. Congratulating the students, the principal and the staff wished them success in all their future endeavours.
