Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said the Union Budget had given a huge relief to middle class as zero tax slab had been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 12 lakh.
Terming it as most commendable Budget in the history of India, Dhumal said it was drafted for the middle class and all sections of society, including poor, and youth would beneft from it.
He added that increase of loan limit of Kisan Credit Card from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh would help the needy farmers across the country.
Dhumal said 100 per cent Foreign Direct Investment in insurance sector would bring remarkable changes.
The former CM said the PM Dhan Dhyan Krishi Yojana would benift over 1.7 crore farmers and would also increase vegetable and fruit production in states like Bihar.
Dhumal pointed out that this Budget was drafted keeping in mind the interests of common man, which led to reduction in cost of electronics, clothing, leather, medicines and electrical vehicles.
