IGMC awarded for bedside Ayushman card activation

The Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC), the biggest hospital of the state, has been conferred with ‘Skotch Award’ for Bedside Ayushman Card activation by Skoch Development Foundation. The award was presented to the hospital in Skoch Merit of Order award ceremony.
In a press statement issued here today, IGMC Medical Superintendent Dr Rahul Rao said under the national award the hospital had to make a presentation as per the subject in front of the Skoch jury.
He said the facility was started in the hospital in June 2023. “Till now, more than 1,121 patients have been provided with ‘Ayushman Card’ bedside verification facility.
“With the facility, efforts are being made to reduce the problems related to the activation of the card that are faced by critically ill patients,” he added.
He also congratulated all the employees, officials and Ayushman Mitras for smooth operation of the service.
