IGMC radiology head dies of cardiac arrest

Shimla, July 7
Prof Sanjeev Sharma (60), head of the radiology department at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), died of a cardiac arrest here today.
The doctor complained of uneasiness last evening, following which he was taken to the IGMC. However, he died of a cardiac arrest. The last rites were performed in the evening.
Professor Sharma was the younger brother of Justice Rajiv Sharma of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have expressed grief over the sudden demise of Professor Sharma.
In his condolence message, the Governor said Professor Sharma was not only a competent doctor, but also a good human being. He said the state had lost a dedicated doctor.
The Chief Minister said Professor Sharma rendered his services with dedication and made valuable contributions towards the humanity.
