A blood donation camp was organised at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Rashtrapati Nivas, as part of the institute’s 60th foundation year celebrations.
The camp was held in collaboration with the Blood Bank Department of Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), with the blood collection team led by Dr Tahseen Mushtaq. The team included Dr Sudhir, Dr Aastha Sharma, Babita Sharma, Renu and other staff members, who ensured the smooth and efficient conduct of the event.
Various officers and staff members participated, collectively donating 40 units of blood. The collected blood was handed over to the IGMC Blood Bank for therapeutic use.
The programme began with a welcome address by Mehar Chand Negi, Secretary of the Institute. It concluded with a vote of thanks by the Institute’s Resident Medical Officer, Dr Meenu Agrawal, who lauded the efforts of the IGMC team, the Institute’s administration and all donors for their active participation. The event was coordinated by Public Relations Officer Akhilesh Pathak.
