The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) — Mandi will hold 12th convocation on September 28.

Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), will be the chief guest on the occasion. Other dignitaries include Prof Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT-Ropar, Narendra Kumar Arya, Director of ER & IPR at the DRDO and Krishna Ika, CEO & chairman of Brainwave Science. The ceremony will be presided over by Lt Gen Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon (Retd), Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIT — Mandi.

Jain, an alumnus of MNIT — Jaipur, has had a distinguished career at the BEL since 1991, contributing significantly to research and development in digital multiplexers, military switches and radar technologies. His leadership roles include General Manager at the BEL’s Product Development & Innovation Centre.

Prof Laxmidhar Behera, Director, IIT — Mandi, expressed his congratulations to the graduating students, wishing them success and urging them to embody the values of honesty and dedication in their future endeavours.

This year’s convocation will honor 636 graduates, comprising 297 undergraduates, 284 postgraduates and 55 PhD scholars, marking a significant milestone for the IIT — Mandi community. The event is anticipated to celebrate the academic achievements and innovative spirit of its students, making it a memorable occasion for all involved.
