Organisation secretary Rajan Sharma said the High Court had given the decision to give pension to contractual lectures appointed before 2003, but the decision had not been implemented yet. On the contrary, he said, the government filed an SLP in the court against this decision. The representatives of the lecturers’ union termed the government action as unfortunate and appealed to the Chief Minister to implement the verdict.
HPAS exam from December 15 to 21
The Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Combined Competitive (Main) Written Examination-2020 will be conducted from December 15 to December 21, with the exception of December 20. On December 15, English and Hindi exams will be held, essay exam on December 16, general studies I on December 17, general studies II in December 18, general studies III on December 19, optional paper I and II on December 21. The e-admit card of the candidates depicting their names, roll number, centre of examination and instructions to the candidates will be uploaded on the official website of the commission and made available on http://hppsconline.hp.gov.in. The provisional admitted candidates, who have not applied for HPAS (Main) Examination-2020 can apply up to December 2 through their respective user login IDs. Thereafter, the link shall be disabled and no further time will be provided.
Conference on image info processing
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan, organised the 6th International Conference on ‘Image information processing’. Vice-Chancellor Rajendra Kumar Sharma inaugurated the event, while the chief guest was Prof Deepak B Phatak, IIT-Bombay, recipient of the Padma Shri. As many as 108 papers were presented. Prof Johan from France, Prof SK Singh, IIT (BHU), Prof Aparajita Ojha, PDPM, Jabalpur, and Dr Abhinav Dhall, IIT-Ropar, also participated in the conference. Researchers, developers, educators and students shared their innovations and developments.
