It is for the first time that the council of ministers will be meeting for four consecutive days from June 28 to 31 to decide on important matters placed before the Cabinet. The General Administration department (GAD) issued a circular in this regard today.
The Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will meet daily for four days from noon to 2 pm on these four days.
The Cabinet was scheduled to meet earlier but could not as the Chief Minister was indisposed. Around 50 agendas had already been listed and the list could get longer.
It is expected that the Cabinet can take a decision on some pending important matters, including a special package for disaster-hit areas. Besides, a decision on the reservation roster for 73 urban local bodies (ULB) can also be decided at the Cabinet meetings.
