In Brief: Mother dies while saving 3-year-old
Nahan: A 28-year-old mother, identified as Anu, has died while saving her three-year-old child in the Kandho Bhatnol area of the Shillai constituency of Sirmaur district. While the mother and her child were in a field, a swarm of wasps attacked the child. The mother immediately removed her headscarf and covered her child with it, shielding the child with her body. Chatar Singh, a local, rushed to their aid. The child is undergoing treatment at Nahan Medical College, where doctors have declared him out of danger. Anu was rushed to the Shillai hospital and later referred to Paonta Sahib civil hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries. OC
