Marking 11 years of the Narendra Modi-led Central Government, former Himachal BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti on Thursday hailed the Prime Minister’s tenure as an era of national service, good governance and upliftment of the poor and needy. Addressing the media, Satti said public life saw a transformative upgrade during this period, calling it a phase of “unprecedented achievements.”
Satti asserted that under Modi’s leadership, India became self-reliant and globally stronger. “The Modi government has written a new chapter of development for the country. We responded firmly to enemies of the nation — Operation Sindoor stands as an example of this resolve,” he said.
Citing the rise in global economic rankings, he claimed that India has overtaken countries like Britain and Japan to become the fourth-largest economy in the world. Comparing the performance with the previous UPA government, he alleged that during the Congress rule, internal security had weakened and incidents of Naxalism and terrorism had surged. Highlighting key welfare schemes, Satti said 81 crore people received free ration, millions benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and 100% rural households were provided tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
BJP leader praises PM’s visionary leadership
Mandi: BJP state vice-president and former minister Govind Thakur lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past 11 years, calling it a golden era of development, transparency, and inclusive governance.
Thakur contrasted Modi’s tenure with the previous Congress-led UPA government, which he accused of deep-rooted corruption. He said the Modi government curbed corruption through initiatives like Digital India and improved welfare delivery. — TNS
