A two-day management development programme for the officials from Indian Oil Corporation was organised by the Indian Institute of Management, Sirmaur, from February 26 to 27.

The programme — titled ‘Finance for Non-Finance Managers’ — was attended by Indian Oil officials from across the country. The programme was aimed at enriching finance-related skills of the participants.

IIM-Sirmaur Director Prafulla Agnihotri inaugurated the session and talked about his decades-old association with Indian Oil.

Programme director P Sanjay, and Ashish Goel facilitated the sessions on behalf of IIM-Sirmaur.

The sessions included topics such as understanding financial statements, financial analysis and managing working capital and managing risks, management accounting and budgeting, evaluating investments and valuation, financial management and decision making, commercial project management, and taxes and personal finance.

Sanjay said the programme witnessed active participation from Indian Oil officials

Indian Oil Senior Manager (Learning and Development) Brajesh Jha said the programme provided excellent insights and added value to the overall learning pursuit of Indian Oil officials.
