The week-long celebrations of National Science Day concluded at the College of Basic Sciences, Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University (CSKHPAU), here today.

Vice-Chancellor Dr DK Vatsa distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions. While addressing the scientists and students, he highlighted the importance of indigenous technologies and their role in achieving self-reliance. He said such technologies would help in developing the country. The VC also appreciated the efforts of the college in promoting scientific awareness.

Director of Research Dr SK Upadhyay delivered a lecture on “Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat”. Dean Dr Sharda Singh said the programme was organised with the support of HIMCOSTE and National Council for Science and Technology Communication.
