SHO, doctor among 28 test positive

The district recorded 28 coronavirus cases, the highest-ever spike in a single day, today. A 70-year-old woman from Samoor Kalan village died due to Covid yesterday. The victim was admitted to the district hospital with flu-like symptoms.
The infected persons included an SHO. Besides, a doctor and her husband, employed in the Excise Department in Punjab, tested positive. The doctor is posted in a health institution in the district and the couple lives on the periphery of the city.
Seven members of a family from Andaura were also tested positive. They are the primary contacts of a government employee working in Amb. Five members of another family from Chandpur panchayat in Haroli were also among the patients.
