The fifth annual Inter-college Sports and Youth Festival began at Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni. Aimed at the overall development of students, the four-day event will see participation of the four constituent colleges of the university: College of Horticulture and College of Forestry from the main campus at Nauni, and the Colleges of Horticulture and Forestry at Neri and Thunag.

World Human Rights Day observed

World Human Rights Day was observed at Him Academy Public School. A poster-making event was organised for the students of Class VI to IX. Students were told about the fundamental rights as mentioned in the Constitution. Principal Naina Lakhanpal laid emphasis on the fact that rights must be enjoyed along with duties towards society and the nation.

Training programme at HIMCOSTE

A certificate course on ‘Value Addition and Marketing of NTFPs (Animal origin): Wild Beekeeping and Processing’, under the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP), concluded at the Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology and Environment (HIMCOSTE). The training programme was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture, Government of Himachal Pradesh. A total of 15 candidates were trained under this programme.
