Inter-faculty sports meet kicks off at HP varsity
The fourth Inter-Faculty Sports Competition at Himachal Pradesh University commenced today with exciting volleyball matches.
The opening ceremony was attended by chief guests Prof Mamta Mokta, Dean Students’ Welfare, and Prof SL Kaushal, Controller of Examination. They addressed the gathering and extended their best wishes to the participating students.
In her address, Mokta encouraged students to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and highlighted the role of sports in the overall development of youth. Kaushal, in his address, emphasised the importance of discipline, teamwork and dedication in both academics and athletics.
The event marked the beginning of a series of sports competitions aimed at fostering unity, health and competitive spirit among HPU students. The tournament will continue in the coming days with events in various disciplines.
