IPS officer Mohit Chawla named Principal of Police Training College

State govt transferred and posted two IPS officers and four HPPS officers on Monday

The 2010-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Cyber Crime (CID), Shimla Mohit Chawla has been transferred to the post of Principal, Police Training College (PTC), Daroh in Kangra district. With the appointment of Chawla, DIG (Central Range) Mandi Soumya Sambhasivan has now been relieved from the additional charge of the said post.

The Himachal Pradesh government today transferred and posted two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and four Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS), a notification of which has been issued here today.

As per the notification, 2011-batch IPS Omapati Jamwal on his promotion will serve as (DIG), Welfare & Administration at Police Headquarters, Shimla, against the post of Inspector General of Police (Welfare & Administration).

Additionally, the state government has also cancelled the transfer order of Arvind Chaudhary, SP, from Police Training College, Daroh.

Besides, the state government has also transferred 2006-batch HPPS and SP (Leave Reserve) at Police Headquarters, Virender Kalia to the post of SP (Leave Reserve), State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, Shimla. Another 2006-batch HPPS and SP (Leave Reserve) Naresh Kumar has been transferred to the post of SP, State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, Southern Range, Shimla, upon relieving of Anjum Ara.

Raman Sharma, awaiting posting at Police Headquarters, Shimla has been transferred to the post of SP (Intelligence & Security), Dharamshala in Kangra district against the post of DIG (Intelligence & Security), Dharamshala. Khazana Ram who was awaiting posting at Police Headquarters has been transferred to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), 4th Indian Reserve Battalion, Jangalberi in Hamirpur district.
