Shahpur legislator Kewal Singh Pathania on Tuesday raised the issue of alleged negligence in medical care at Tanda Medical College, Kangra, due to defunct ventilators, resulting in a death due to snake bite.
“As per my information, there are 92 ventilators at Tanda medical college, so why were they not functional? There must be accountability and a time-bound inquiry must be held,” said Pathania.
“Despite assurance on proper care during snake bite in the Assembly, a person had died. Please specify what action you will be taken against the erring officials who failed to act?” he asked the state government.
