In a statement issued here, Thakur said that the state government was not taking the benefits of central schemes only to mislead the public. “Motivated by the sense of political vendetta, the state government is not taking the benefits of public welfare schemes,” he alleged.

He said that the state government was deliberately not sending proposals. “Information furnished in the Rajya Sabha has revealed that no proposal has been received from the Himachal Government for setting up a biogas plant,” he added.

Thakur said that the Centre was providing Rs 4 crore financial assistance for setting up a biogas plant of 4,800 kg daily capacity. Such an initiative would strengthen the production of green energy and create jobs, he added.
