'Jal Shakti Gaurav' awards given to 126 employees

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today honoured 126 employees of the Jal Shakti Department with the ‘Jal Shakti Gaurav’ award. He was the chief guest at the State Level Water Awareness Day function at Kangar village of Haroli Assembly segment.

Agnihotri, who also holds charge of the Jal Shakti Department, said the awards would be given every year to those employees of the Jal Shakti Department who excels in the duties assigned to them, adding that the parameters for the award have been formulated. On the occasion, he also released the annual calendar of the department. He said suspension of 10 departmental officers in Theog and blacklisting concerned contractors only shows commitment of the government toward zero tolerance to corruption.

On the occasion, the Dy CM paid tributes to two employees of the Jal Shakti department, who lost their lives while on duty during the unprecedented natural disaster in 2023.

MLAs Sudarshan Babloo and Vivek Sharma, Jal Shakti Engineer-in-Chief Anju Sharma, Engineer-in-Chief (Projects) Dharmender Gill and DC Jatin Lal were also present.
