The much-hyped Jan Ashirvad Yatra was nothing but a “publicity campaign of the BJP to mislead people” of the state, alleged Rajender Zar, president of District Congress Committee, here today. He alleged that BJP leaders tried to divert the attention of people from the core issues of inflation and unemployment. He alleged that in the past seven years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had only misled people and returned lawlessness, corruption and floating bodies in rivers due to Covid.
Zar alleged that the claims of the government were fake and the reality was entirely different. He said the country and the state were reeling under financial bankruptcy due to the poor governance of Modi. He said the Centre had withdrawn the corpus fund of reserve bank and was now planning to sell government undertakings. He said even Union Minister Anurag Thakur had “misled” people vis-a-vis the railway link to Hamirpur. He said the state government was requesting an economic package from the Centre but despite being the Minister of State for Finance, Anurag could not get it for the state. He said both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Anurag Thakur had “disappointed” people of the state. The anger against the BJP would be reflected in the ensuing byelections in the state, he added.
