Shimla, August 27
Terming the Jan Aashirwad Yatra organised from August 19 to 24 as a success, BJP state president Suresh Kashyap today said that 630 km in 43 out of 68 assembly constituencies of the state was covered during the yatra.
As many as 184 programmes and 24 rallies were organized. The yatra has recharged the workers and people from all ages and segments came out of their houses to be a party of the yatra marking the elevation of MP Anurag Thakur as Cabinet minister, he said while addressing the media persons here today.
Referring to the problems faced by the apple growers, especially in Shimla district, Kashyap, who is also an MP from Shimla parliamentary constituency, said, “Our target is good production of apples in the region and better remuneration to the growers. Their problems have been discussed with the state government and would be resolved.”
