He added that essential infrastructure in Jawali was being upgraded. A Rs 87-crore bridge over the Gaj Khad was under construction and when completed, it would significantly boost connectivity and economic opportunities.

He said that in the health sector, the work on the Rs 5.36-crore Nagrota Surian Hospital and a new 50-bed block at the Jawali Civil Hospital at a cost of Rs 6.42 crore was underway. The projects to widen and improve roads were also being implemented in the constituency, he added.

To ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply, the Amrit-2 scheme was being implemented at a cost of Rs 15.50 crore, involving the installation of new tube wells, storage tanks and pipelines in Jawali town. The work on a Rs 34-crore sewerage project in Nagrota Surian was also underway.
