The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog has declared the result for the selection of 1,862 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT).
Seeking the declaration of the result, JOA(IT) aspirants were on a warpath for the past over two years. The result was pending as the HP Staff Selection Commission was dissolved last year following a paper leak. It took almost four years to complete the JOA (IT) selection process even as 73 departments of the state government had requested filling of the posts. The selection process was started in April 2020 and an advertisement was published on September 21, 2020. A total of 2,27,838 applications were received and 1,07,878 candidates had appeared in the test.
Jitender Sanjta, Administrator of the HPRCA, said the Aayog had recommended recruitment of 1,862 candidates for posts of JOA(IT) in different departments. He said the successful candidates were allotted departments, corporations and boards on the basis of merit, option and availability of posts.
Meanwhile, the JOA(IT) aspirants who were protesting for declaration of the results outside the HPRCA had called off their stir. Amit Kumar, an aspirant, said they were happy after the declaration of the result as their struggle had been proved successful.
