Jobless pharmacist stops Sukhu’s convoy in Jawali
An employed veterinary pharmacist yesterday suddenly came on the way of the convoy of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu when it was passing from Jarpal in the neighbouring Jawali Assembly constituency and stopped it by waving a piece of red cloth. The incident took the security personnel accompanying the CM’s convoy took by surprise.
The youth identified as Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Jarpal village, is unemployed even after undergoing training as a veterinary pharmacist. Frustrated as failed to get getting any job for the past several years of his training, the youth, sighting the CM’s convoy, signalled it to stop. On his part, the CM listened to the youth patiently and also took his application.
The security personnel accompanying the convoy got down from their vehicle and rushed to the CM vehicle. They felt relieved after finding everything normal. They removed the youth from the close to CM’s vehicle as the convoy left Jawali Assembly constituency for journey ahead.
The video clip of stopping the CM’s convoy and the interaction between the youth and Chief Minister went viral in the social media on Monday. Later, the youth thanked the CM for listening to him patiently. He said he had appealed to the CM to fill vacant posts of veterinary pharmacists in the animal husbandry department.
