The initiative, part of the Unit Raising Day festivities, drew enthusiastic participation from nearly 50 ETF members and local residents. Together, they planted approximately 800 saplings, breathing new life into a hillside landscape and laying the foundation for a greener future. Carefully selected native species, well adapted to the Himalayan ecosystem, were planted to enhance biodiversity and reduce soil erosion.

Adding depth to the event, ETF personnel conducted an engaging awareness session on afforestation. The lecture emphasised the vital role of tree cover in combating climate change, protecting water sources and supporting the livelihoods of mountain communities. Villagers of all ages actively participated, sharing traditional conservation wisdom and exchanging ideas with ETF members.
