Jubbal-Kotkhai area gets Rs 12-cr projects

Education Minister Rohit Thakur inaugurated projects worth Rs 12.17 crore in the Nawar area of the Jubbal-Kotkhai Assembly constituency today.

Rohit, while addressing a function organised at the ITI-Tikkar, said Nawar was an important part of his constituency and the development of the area was his priority. “Despite adverse circumstances and financial constraints, the Jal Shakti Department is undertaking development works worth Rs 225 crore and the Public Works Department of Rs 250 crore under in the Jubbal-Kotkhai constituency.

The Education Minister also said that while the condition of roads in the Nawar region was pathetic during the previous BJP government. However, their condition had improved during the present Congress government and in the next five years, all roads in the Nawar region would be made pucca.

He inaugurated the Tamshal-Kharla and the Sarahdhar-Farog and Nakasetli-Dhadikuppad-Gadot roads built at a cost of Rs 1 crore and Rs 2.92 crore, respectively. He also inaugurated a lift drinking water scheme for Pujarali-3 and the area adjoining Dharada and the Naren lift water scheme from the Daroti Nullah constructed at a cost of Rs 2.25 crore. Besides, he also inaugurated the building of the ITI-Tikkar constructed at a cost of about Rs 6 crore.
