MLA Sanjay Rattan inaugurated the office of the Bhadoli sub-tehsil in his Assembly constituency on Friday. Six patwar circles will be included in this sub-tehsil.
The MLA said, with the opening of this sub-tehsil office, people would no longer have to go to Jwalamukhi to get their work done.
Revenue work is an important work related to the interests of the general public, he added. He said the state government was paying special attention to the timely settlement of revenue matters.
Due to the initiative of CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, revenue courts were being set up for this on the last two days of every month, he added. He said Kangra district has settled the maximum number of Intkaal (mutation) cases in the state. Most cases of transfer and partition have been settled in various revenue Lok Adalats held so far, Rattan added.
In order to provide facilities to the people in the Jwalamukhi Assembly constituency, the government had opened a sub-tehsil office in Bhadoli.
After this, he laid the foundation stone of a 700-m long ambulance road, to be built at a cost of Rs 57,46,000.
He said providing road connectivity to people was the priority of the government.
Rattan was also the chief guest of the annual prize distribution ceremony of Government Senior Secondary School, Gummar. He felicitated and rewarded students who performed well throughout the year. The school’s principal, Joginder Kumar, presented the annual report.
The MLA announced that he would give Rs 21,000 to the school to promote cultural programmes. SDM Dr Sanjeev Sharma, DSP RP Jaswal, Municipal Council President Dharmendra Sharma, Gummar gram panchayat Pradhan Shimla Devi were among those present at the event.
