During a visit to the flood-ravaged Manikaran valley in Kullu district, Kangana expressed outrage over the government’s inaction and said that even weeks after the calamity, debris was still blocking roads, forcing residents to walk long distances. She alleged that ministers were more interested in vacation and personal celebrations than in alleviating public suffering.
Kangana accused the state government of corruption in the construction of the Bhuntar-Manikaran road though the Central Government had released funds for the project. She claimed that the people of Himachal Pradesh were growing increasingly frustrated with the Congress government’s mismanagement and alleged misuse of resources. She alleged that villages, perceived to be supporting the BJP, were being deliberately ignored and road restoration efforts were delayed in those areas. She vowed to raise these concerns with the Chief Minister and urge him to prioritise humanity over political bias.
In the Lug valley, the MP highlighted the dire condition of roads and said that villagers were risking their lives to transport food and essential supplies. She warned that if the debris clearance work was not expedited, the region could face a severe shortage of ration. Kangana demanded transparency in the utilisation of disaster-relief funds allocated by the Centre and called for accountability of the state administration.
Kangana lambasted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on Nepal’s Gen-Z movement. She described his comments as shameful and said that Rahul frequently embarrassed the nation with careless statements.
